Best Apps for Tracking Your Progress
Staying motivated during your fitness or mindset journey can be tough — especially without visible results in the beginning. What helped me most was tracking my small wins. Seeing my progress in numbers or checkboxes reminded me that I was growing, even when it didn’t feel like it.
Here are my favorite free (or low-cost) apps that helped me stay consistent:
1. Habit (Android/iOS)
This app is great for visual habit tracking. I used it to mark off “Workout,” “Stretch,” and “Drink Water” daily. It turns building habits into a little game.
2. FitOn
A free app with tons of guided workout videos — no equipment needed. It also tracks how many workouts you’ve completed, so you can see your consistency improve.
3. Flo or My Calendar
These help with cycle tracking. I use them to plan low-intensity or rest days around my energy levels.
4. Google Keep / Notes
I use this like a mini journal. I write what workout I did and how I felt. It helps me see patterns and reflect.
5. Insight Timer
For mindset and self-love. It’s filled with free meditations and affirmations to stay calm and grounded.
You don’t need to track everything, but even a small note that says “I moved today” builds momentum. You’ll start seeing your progress not just in your body — but in your habits, your energy, and your mindset.
And remember: the goal isn’t perfection. The goal is progress.
